Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains how Finders Club ("we", "us") handles your personal data when you use finders-club.co.uk, enter our competitions or sign up for our updates. We act as the data controller for this information.
Who we are
Finders Club is a UK-based competition business that offers skill and prize draws for luxury watches. You can contact us at any time about your data at hello@finders-club.co.uk.
The information we collect
- Entry and account details — your email address, a password (stored only in secure form), an optional nickname, your ticket numbers and the competitions you have entered.
- Contact details you choose to give us — for example a phone number added to your account.
- Communication records — your marketing preferences and a record of the consent you gave, emails we send you, and any messages you send us.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser and device type, and how you found our site (such as tracking links).
- Profile photos — a picture you choose to upload to your account, stored privately.
How we use your information, and why
- To run our competitions — creating your entry, allocating your ticket number, preventing duplicate entries and administering prizes. This is necessary for the competition contract with you.
- To keep your account secure — verifying your identity and email address, and protecting against fraud and abuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the site safe.
- To send you marketing — only where you have actively ticked the marketing box. We will do marketing by email, including news about upcoming draws, new watches, ticket releases, our offers and reminders about competitions. See "Marketing" below.
- To improve the site — understanding how visitors use our pages, based on our legitimate interests.
- To meet our legal obligations — keeping proper records and complying with UK law, including rules on age verification.
Marketing
Marketing is entirely optional. You will only receive marketing emails from us if you tick the marketing consent box when you sign up or enter a competition. If you do not tick it, we will not use your email address for marketing — taking part in a competition on its own never signs you up for marketing.
Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@finders-club.co.uk. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect your entry into any competition, your ticket, or your right to a prize you have won.
Who we share your information with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the site — for example our website platform, email delivery provider, and providers who store data or send transactional emails such as ticket confirmations. These providers may only process your data on our instructions. We may also disclose information where UK law requires it.
Where we store your data and how long we keep it
Your data is stored securely on our website platform's managed cloud database. Competition and ticket records are kept for as long as needed to run the competition and for legal, accounting and complaint-handling purposes. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed plus a reasonable period afterwards as proof of your consent. You may ask us to delete your account data at any time; we will keep only what we must keep by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, where we have no legal reason to keep it;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- ask us to send your data to another organisation;
- withdraw your marketing consent at any time, at no cost;
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To use any of these rights, email hello@finders-club.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
Age restrictions
Our competitions are open only to people aged 18 or over. We confirm that all entrants are 18 or over when they use the site, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies and Meta advertising
With your permission, we use the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) to measure which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring visitors and signups. When you accept, Meta receives details such as the pages you visit, that you signed up, your IP address and browser information. If you reject, the pixel never loads. You can change your choice by clearing your browser's site data for finders-club.co.uk.
